Co-innovation of IPM : Training manual

We are proud to offer you the very first version of the co-innovation training manual! The training is part of the PURE research project.  The co-innovation concept is developed as an alternative on the dissemination work package. The dissemination part is normally the closing part of the innovation line: starting with design, than testing and improving, the solution can be applied in practice. To let users know this, it is disseminated with demonstrations, leaflets and nowadays also websites.

The co-innovation idea is different from this linear approach: it connects the end of the line with the beginning, taking into account the potential users and their situation before starting with design, testing and improving. This should lead to a better solution, but also to a higher commitment of the users for application.

In our view, co-innovation must not be a mere theoretical concept, part of a discussion about innovation strategies. It should be practised to show its value. We assume that co-innovation is a solution for people like you, but what do you really need? You will see that this question is part of the first training block.

As we stated, co-innovation should be practised. The training is therefore very instructive: it wants to support you with knowledge, skills and tools to get started with your co-innovation pilot. In this training manual, you will find therefore instructive texts and examples, combined with worksheets to make the exercise for your pilot. The manual is not a static product: during the meetings, handouts and other documents can be added.
